Remuneration of labour is exercised on the basis of:
- legislative and other normative acts;
- General Agreement on the state level;
- branch and regional agreements;
- collective agreements;
- labour contracts.
The legislation on the remuneration of labour is based on the Constitution of Ukraine and consists of the Labour Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine on Remuneration of Labour, The Law of Ukraine on the Collective contracts and agreements, the Law of Ukraine on Enterprises in Ukraine and other acts of Ukrainian legislation.
The state exercises the regulation of the remuneration of all workers’ labour by establishing minimum wage and other state norms and guarantees and also by:
- the establishing conditions and wages of the enterprises’ owners, founded on the state or communal property, workers of the enterprises, establishments and organizations that are financed by the budget;
- the control of remuneration’s of labour funds of the monopolist enterprises’ workers according to the list assigned by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
- the workers’ taxation of income.
The contractual regulation of remuneration of workers’ labour is exercised on the basis of agreements concluded on the state (General Agreement), sectoral (branch agreements), regional (regional agreements) and local (collective agreement) levels according o the Law of Ukraine on the Collective contracts and agreements.
