Ministry of Economy of Ukraine / Public Boards
To execute the regulation of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №1378 dated 15.10.2004 “Some issues concerning public participation in forming and realization of state policy” under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine public council was founded.

The member of the public council under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is a representative of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine.

According to “Regulations on public council under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine” approved by the order of Ministry of Economy №185 on June, 16, 2007 the public council under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is an advisory body. The goal of its creation is promotion for realization by the citizens of their constitutional right to participate in state activity and taking into consideration public opinion during preparation and realization of the Ministry’s decisions.

The main tasks of the public council are:
  • to promote realization by the citizens of their constitutional right to participate in state activity;
  • to promote realization by the Ministry of Economy of its authorities by means of public involvement;
  • to conduct explanatory work, to popularize in the society perspective ideas connected with the changes in Ukrainian legislation in the sphere of economic activity;
  • to present a methodological assistance to the enterprises, establishments, organizations that belong to the Ministry’s management on matters relating to holding up of the consultations with the public;
  • to secure feedback of general public opinion concerning the Ministry’s activity;
  • to participate in holding of expert and analytical appraisal of draft laws where Ministry of Economy is developer, or those, that influence the branch.
On the public council’s meetings actual problems concerning formation and realization of state policy in the sphere of economic activity are discussed. As a result of discussion:
  • propositions of the Ministry of Economy are prepared for consideration on the state level and for coming to the decision;
  • propositions to the program of holding consultations with public by definite subject matter and with list of questions, terms and periods, the order of information promulgation about consultations and results of their conduct are developed and submitted for consideration to the Ministry of Economy;
  • other measures concerning arrangement and holding of consultations with the public are exercised;
  • propositions concerning the improvement of the Ministry’s activity, the activity of enterprises, establishments, organizations that belong to its sphere of management are developed…
