Among the main tendencies of the modern world a rapid renewal of technologies is stood out. The growth of economy makes for the necessity to develop the model of vocational education and training, which would ensure the training of skilled personnel to the activity in conditions of dynamic changes on the labour market and increasing requirements to the skill level of labour force.
The transition to the information society gives rise not only to the high requirements to communicative and information competence of a person, but, first of all, to the growth of the professional mobility of workers, to the rise of human capital.
Preparation in Ukraine skilled labour force in the system of vocational education and training, the improvement of the prestige of working professions is not simply a question of manpower for securing of innovative postindustrial state’s development. It becomes enough significant for securing of country’s national safety.
The Confederation of Employers of Ukraine considers necessary to reform the system of education with the aim to adjust it in accordance with up-to-date challenges. Moreover the reforms are need to be held regularly and by common efforts of state, public, business with the usage of international experience and national peculiarity, that is urgent for the development of competitive and innovative national economy, which will be based on the knowledge in accordance to the Lisbon strategy within the framework of realization of tasks of Copenhagen process.
